Suffolk Police said the 30-year-old victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification, was found on the ground next to a deli in Copiague, Barcellona Place, at around 7.40pm on Monday, May 15 next of kin.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be carried out by staff from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
