The incident happened on Thursday, May 11 at approximately 11.05pm in Massapequa.
Nassau County Police said the victim, a 42-year-old man, crossed the north side of Merrick Road (near Carman Mills Road) around 11:05 p.m.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
He was struck by a 19-year-old man driving a 2015 BMW while traveling eastbound on Merrick Road.
Authorities pronounced the victim dead at the scene after suffering serious head and body injuries.
Investigation is still ongoing.
