Nassau County Police said the suspect entered the store at 4220 Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage at around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, May 13.
The suspect, described as a white male of medium build, then showed a knife and demanded cash.
The male employee complied, opened the cash register, and the suspect withdrew an undisclosed amount of dollars before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported.
Police said the suspect was wearing dark clothing and a surgical mask.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
