According to Suffolk County Police, emergency responders received reports of an employee being killed at Omni Recycling in West Babylon on Alder Street around 1 p.m. on Monday, May 8.
On Friday, May 12, police identified the man as Marcos Bonilla, 50, of Westbury.
According to investigators, Bonilla was hit by the launch vehicle and died at the scene.
Police said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has been contacted and further investigations are expected.
