Four local school districts ranked in the top 10 nationally as part of the site’s 2023 “Best School Districts in America” report.

- JayErico 4th in Union Free School District
- Cyosset 5th in Central School District
- Roslyn 6th in Union Free School District
Each district achieved an overall grade of A+, with top marks in categories including Academics, Teachers, College Prep, Administration, and Clubs and Activities.
In the diversity category, the Jericho, Syosset and Roslyn school districts received a B, while Great Neck received a B+.
These districts also receive high marks in athletics, with Syosset and Jericho earning A’s and A-‘s in athletics, respectively. Both Great Neck and Roslyn have a B rating.
At lunchtime, students will find the best cafeteria in the Jericho School District, which has an A+ rating in the food category, the report said.
Roslyn, Great Neck and Syosset received A’s, B+’s and B’s respectively.
Each district also had low student-teacher ratios, the report said.
Great Neck and Syosset both have student-teacher ratios of 10 to 1, while Jericho has 11 to 1 and Roslyn has 13 to 1.
Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 in Lincolnshire, Illinois is touted as the best school district in America.
