The accident happened at around 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 in Jericho.

Nassau County Police say a 2019 Dodge Ram driven by a 34-year-old man was traveling southbound on the northbound lane of Highway 106 (North Broadway) with a 2019 Alfaro driven by four teenage boys. The Mero sedans collided.

Two 14-year-old boys were fatally injured as a result of the collision and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The identities of the boys have not been released.

The other boys, aged 16 and 17, were taken to a local hospital with internal injuries but are now in a stable condition.

After the initial collision, Alfa Romero also crashed into a 2023 Volvo with a 49-year-old woman and a 16-year-old male passenger in it, police said.

They were treated for minor injuries at the scene and were released.

Roslyn’s 2019 Dodge Ram driver, Amandeep Singh, was arrested with minor injuries and taken to a local hospital.

Singer is accused of:

  • serious car accident,
  • First degree vehicular manslaughter
  • second degree manslaughter,
  • Leaving the scene of a car accident with death,
  • DWI
  • Two counts of second-degree assault.

He will be arraigned at Hempstead 1st District Court on Thursday, May 4.

More information about the crash will be released Thursday afternoon, the Nassau County Police Department said.
