The Homicide Squad has reported details of a serious vehicle crash in Inwood at 5.25pm on Tuesday 2 May 2023.
According to detectives, a white 2018 Honda driven by a 64-year-old male was traveling southbound on the Nassau Freeway (Route 878) when it collided with a blue 2019 Honda driven by a 24-year-old woman who was heading toward Travel north. As a result of the collision, the blue Honda hit a dark 2020 Kia driven by a 49-year-old woman who was also traveling north.
The occupant of the white Honda was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver and a minor passenger were not injured. The operator of the blue Honda was airlifted to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. The Kia operator remained at the scene and was not injured.
Investigation is ongoing.
