The Lakeview home was partially engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived around 9:50 a.m. on Saturday, April 29

A teenager and the family’s pet dog were rescued from the residence, Nassau County police said.

According to the Lake View Fire Department, the fire was classified as an “ongoing fire,” but the department was only able to contain it to the second floor of the home.

No injuries were reported, but the Red Cross assisted in relocating three residents of the home. The arson/bomb disposal team also reported to the scene.

Investigation is ongoing.
