According to Nassau County Police, around noon on Friday, April 27, three women and a man entered the East Garden City Louis Vuitton located at Roosevelt Field Mall on Old County Road 630.

They were allegedly armed with box cutters, which they used to cut the security thread securing the wallet.

Detectives said the gang stole seven handbags with a total value of about $23,000.

The thieves then fled the mall in an unknown direction in a white 2012 Kia Sportage, officials said.

The incident came just two days after a group of four – also made up of three women and a man – stole seven handbags from a Manhasset Prada store less than 10 miles from Friday’s robbery.

It was not immediately clear whether the two incidents were related.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or 911.

All calls will remain anonymous.
