Grandpa Tony’s at 101 Althouse Ave in East Rockaway was voted the best happy hour spot, according to 2023 Bethpage Best of Long Island awards.
Situated on the waterfront, diners can enjoy happy hour Wednesday through Friday at Grandpa Tony’s gorgeous indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the canal.
Niki Elizabeth W. of Boston, MA wrote on Yelp: “Loved the food, drinks and service! The sunset view from the top deck outside is unbelievable.”
“Really really can’t say enough good things about this place. We went twice a week and it was really good,” she continued. “The spicy strawberry margarita is a must.”
Between an extensive selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and award-winning pizzas, guests have a variety of options for sipping a cocktail or watching a game.
“I can’t say enough good things about this place,” Tracey M. of East Rockaway wrote on the restaurant’s Yelp page.
“This is my favorite place to eat in East Rockaway, whether it’s a girls’ night, a date night with hubby, or a family night with the kids, Grandpa Tony never disappoints.”
In addition to happy hour, Grandpa Tony offers several specialty nights throughout the week.
The restaurant offers drink specials for Ladies Night on Thursday nights from 4pm to 8pm.
To thank teachers and first responders, teachers get 50% off bar meals between 4pm and 7pm, while first responders get 50% off from 7pm until closing.
Grandpa Tony also hosts Sunday Brunches, live music, and other events.
