At approximately 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, New York State Police were called to reports that human remains had been found on Eastbound Parkway in Woodlands around Exit 40 in Islip Township.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) are on scene.
No further information has been released at this time.
