Precipitation will continue throughout the day and into the evening on Saturday, May 20, marking the end of the long dry spell.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain will be heavy at times Saturday afternoon and evening, accompanied by heavy fog. The high temperature will be in the 60s.

Precipitation forecasts are generally 1.5 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts closer to 3 inches possible, especially farther east.

Then came the big change, back to dry air and clear skies. It will also be warmer.

Sunday, May 21 will be a perfect day with mostly clear skies and highs of 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Northwesterly winds will be blowing around 10 mph with a light breeze.

Look for more of the same weather on Monday, May 22, with mostly clear skies and lows in the 70s with high temperatures returning.

Tuesday, May 23, was sunny with temperatures in the high 70s.

Temperatures will rise on Wednesday, May 24, with high temperatures expected to hit the 80s with plenty of sunshine.
